June 12, 2007, Harrisburg, PA - The Rotary Club of Harrisburg has recently completed a Strategic Planning process facilitated by Kent Frese, President of Leadership Management Institute. "This is the eighth year the club has engaged in a planning process at the urging of the late Robert Hanson", said Linda Freedenberg, Executive Director. The purpose of the process was to clarify and focus the activities of the club from now through July 1st, 2010. There was an emphasis on team effectiveness and goal setting. A problem solving and solutions workshop allowed the participants to focus on three key priority areas for the group: local youth initiatives, international projects and membership. Carrie N. Wissler Thomas, the incoming President of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg, stated, "Everyone who attended the strategic planning session was extremely impressed by your extensive preparation and presentation. It all flowed very smoothly, with personalities meshing well. People discussed their challenges animatedly, but seemingly without any rancor. Well done!"
