LMI Facilitates Workshop for the Heart Association

August 7, 2007, Harrisburg, PA - The Advisory Board of the American Heart Association Capital Region has recently completed a half day workshop facilitated by Kent Frese, President of Leadership Management Institute. The purpose of the process was to clarify and focus the activities of the board to support four American Heart Association national initiatives; Power to End Stroke, Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Go Red for Women, and Start! The board members are aiming to make a difference in the Capital Region community. A problem solving and solutions workshop allowed the participants to focus on four key areas: stroke, childhood obesity, heart disease and stroke in women and corporate wellness. Dr. Raymond Reichwein, M.D. stated, "The process helped our group (AHA/ASA) refocus on the important aspects of our mission in a very positive enthusiastic focused way. Second, the group breakout session was helpful since the varied backgrounds of each member provided a broad overall perspective which we were able to make focused and productive, in a short period of time."
